Let’s assume computers A and B, two individual computers in two separate networks, are exchanging files. ShuttleIT is physically connected to A and B via standard USB 2.0 cables. Once connected, ShuttleIT’s management application installs an application into the computers and synchronizes ShuttleIT to the computer networks. The software manages the data transfer from A into the internal memory of ShuttleIT, and from the internal memory to B. ShuttleIT makes sure that no data loss occurs even in cases of a power failure or a disconnection of the USB cable during the file transfer process. It also ensures an uninterrupted operation even if computers connected at its ends are restarted. |
