	PCS Security has developed a technical solution for more effective vehicle screening and profiling against vehicular bombs. Conventional vehicle screening systems inspect undercarriage of vehicles. What they look out for are vehicles which may have been tampered or rigged with an explosive device. In such cases, the target is the vehicle itself and its occupants. This is not the threat we face today.

	The threat of the “vehicle bomb ” is different in nature and in its scale of potential impact. The vehicle is not a target. The vehicle is used as an instrument to hide, house and transport a large store of explosives which when detonated would cause maximal damage to property and lives in proximity. This scenario of the “vehicle bomb ” is what the PCS Vehicle Security Inspection System directly addresses.

	The Vehicle Security Inspection System enhances security screening of vehicles to identify suspected “vehicle bombs” by instantly measuring the aggregate weight and weight distribution of the incoming vehicle and analyses it against a database of standard weights of the vehicles according to make and model. Automated analysis of the data would identify a vehicle which is “suspicious” according to a 3 tier classification system and prompt security personnel to then conduct appropriate preventive security protocols.
